The Love of the Game...In The Northwest

Joey Golfing 2

Being an avid Northwest golfer is not always an easy task. Factors such as relentless rain, bunkers that look more like mud wrestling pits, and wearing enough layers to go hiking in the Alps, tend to put a damper on one's motivation to play. However, with love comes pain. It's unfortunate when you have to live vicariously through the Internet in order to receive visions of sun and some of the most sought out courses in the world (that are not under 3 feet of water, might I add). Lately it seems the closest I've come to playing a round in the sun has been on my Xbox 360 playing Tiger Woods 2009. Yet, that first "cart girl" sighting, $1 PBRs, and greens fee inflation are encouraging indications that sunny weather is on the horizons.

So here's a shout out to all those crazies out there (including myself) who sucked it up all winter long and bared the elements just to cater to our undying addiction for this great game we know as Golf.

You can find the dollar PBR's at Willows Run in Redmond and pretty much any decent golf course. Cheers!
