Mar 31st | GA Creative Receives National Honors for Annual Report |
This fall, GA Creative has completed the second consecutive annual report for Institute for Systems Biology (ISB). Meanwhile, the 2006 annual report the firm created for ISB has been selected to appear in the American Corporate Identity Annual (ACI 2009), released in late 2008.
The new 2007 annual report showcases the tight interaction between ISB scientists and their development and use of unique, sophisticated technology. "This year's annual report tells our story in an authentic and understandable way, helping us communicate the complexities of what we do," says Todd Langton, ISB's Associate Director for PR and Communications. "Furthermore, GA Creative is fantastic at accommodating our design and editorial needs on a tight schedule while turning out an outstanding end product."
"The team at ISB continues to be a pleasure to work for," says Marlice Gulacsik, GA principal. "It's an honor to serve the local biotech industry with such challenging and rewarding projects. To be recognized nationally is validation that the annual reports carry an effective message."
About the Institute for Systems Biology
The Institute for Systems Biology (ISB) is an internationally renowned, non-profit research institute headquartered in Seattle and dedicated to the study and application of systems biology. Founded by Leroy Hood, Alan Aderem and Ruedi Aebersold, ISB seeks to unravel the mysteries of human biology and identify strategies for predicting and preventing diseases such as cancer, diabetes and AIDS. ISB´s systems approach integrates biology, computation and technological development, enabling scientists to analyze all elements in a biological system rather than one gene or protein at a time. Founded in 2000, the Institute has grown to 14 faculty and more than 230 staff members; an annual budget of more than $30 million; and an extensive network of academic and industrial partners. About American Corporate Identity (ACI)
ACI, with its annual design competition, is a highly-respected showcase for the very best corporate ID in the United States. Now in its 25th year, the corresponding ACI book - a full-color, hardbound, 320-page publication - highlights competition winners, and the book series is a mainstay reference for designers who want to keep current with contemporary American design and corporate identity. Each year, categories are added as design and marketing practices evolve, and, in 2007 alone, entries in the ACI competition increased by 50%. Entries from less than half of the thousands of design firms represented were chosen for inclusion in ACI 2009.
